Job Description
As a Light Weight Technician, you will play a crucial role in our fabrication processes. This is not your typical warehouse job; you'll be working with advanced equipment and materials, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Physical Tasks:
Stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
Perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Use various personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and more.
Occasionally wear respiratory protection equipment.
Climb steps and/or ladders frequently while carrying tools and materials.
Operate light-duty service trucks and forklifts once a permanent employee.
Work in hot and cold environments.
Maintain good balance and manual dexterity for handling knives and heavy equipment.
Manual Dexterity:
Exhibit good eye/hand coordination and grasping ability.
Work with moving equipment and heavy-duty machinery with numerous pinch points.
Pay close attention to detail.
Mental Dexterity:
Demonstrate strong communication skills.
Comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
Maintain accurate paperwork and general mathematics skills.
Read and measure tape accurately.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and adapt to unexpected situations.
Requirements:
Ability to perform all physical tasks listed above. Strong eye/hand coordination and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication). Experience with operating light-duty trucks and forklifts is a plus. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
