Summary of Position

The Maintenance Parts Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the management of stock levels of maintenance parts, ordering all parts; spares, specialized and critical, and ensuring efficient inventory management. This role plays a vital part in supporting smooth operations by minimizing costs and maintaining optimal stock levels. Looking for an overall champion!!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains effective and efficient stock levels of maintenance parts in support of production and repair schedule.

Orders all Maintenance parts

Ensures that costs are minimized while providing the highest service level in support of operations.

Obtains quotes from vendors for stock parts as well as individual part/component requests from the maintenance staff.

Creates and submits purchase requests with quotes for all Maintenance needs; parts and services

Tracks Purchase Orders from Purchase Request to delivery; payments, delays, tracking numbers and parts verification

Maintains shop consumables, reorder as needed and assist with organizational needs

Maintains inventories of supplies to support key stakeholders

Utilize CMMS for all inventory transactions, Work Order parts, purchase orders and receiving

Receive all spare parts orders through CMMS, restocking inventory

Provide Maintenance Planner daily updates on all critical spares orders

Support Planner by kitting parts for PM’s and repairs

Support Maintenance Techs in locating parts, in-house or special order

Understand the production equipment, taking pictures of parts for RFQ’s

Skills

Strong organizational skills 

Excellent computer skills

Ability to multi-task 

Problem solving with mechanical aptitude

Traits

Ability to work independently and to take direction.

Results-driven self-starter

Ability to communicate effectively via phone and email. 

Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience High School diploma or equivalent  Experience with Microsoft Office, including strong skills in Outlook and Excel preferred. Experience with CMMS / ERP, at least Previous manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience, 5+ years preferred Inventory and parts experience.
