Job Description

As a Machine Operator you will run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity. You will receive

direction and will be overseen by the area Lead, Supervisor or qualified area Machinist.

Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedures including updates, signatures and stamps, counting quantities,

labeling and non-conformance related activities

 Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders

 Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistical process controls charts with instruction and supervision from

Lead, Supervisor or qualified Machinist.

 Assist Lead person as needed

 Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Alert Lead or

Supervisor to any issue(s) on job or machine.

 Meet job standard times consistently and communicate to lead or supervisor when not.

 Ensure company procedures and “best machine practices” are being followed and are in place at all times

 Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted

safe work practices

 Perform additional related duties as assigned

 High noise levels from operating machines

 Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts

 Breathing fumes, dust, and mist

 Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  0-2 years experience  Ability to speak basic English language  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:  Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts  Hearing ability: ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action  Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor  Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls  Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:
