Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team! As a key player in our production process, you’ll be responsible for set-ups and production runs to manufacture high-quality parts for our customers based on their blueprints. What You’ll Be Doing:
Read, interpret, and execute customer blueprints, ensuring specifications are met.
Set up CNC lathes, utilizing precise tooling for each project.
Perform first article inspections and oversee production machining with attention to detail.
Make minor G-Code adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Deburr parts for a clean, professional finish.
Conduct self-inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection tools to verify tolerances and specifications.
Equipment used:
Haas ST-20Y lathe with bar feeder and live tooling.
Mazak QT-EZ20 with Smooth controller, sub spindle, bar feeder, and live tooling.
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For: Passion for metal machining and pride in producing quality work. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in CNC lathe machining and setups. Blueprint Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, understand tolerances, and apply GD&T principles. Controller Knowledge: Familiarity with Haas controllers. Technical Skills: Ability to load parts, monitor machine cycles, and identify malfunctions. Inspection Abilities: Skilled in using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. G-Code Knowledge: Understanding of G-Code with the ability to make minor modifications as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Teamwork: Willingness to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
