Job Description:

-Measure, cut, and drill materials to meet the specifications of the project

– Understand plans and requirements for each task

– Use grinder to smooth and clean as appropriately prior to and after welding

– Effectively operate welding units and equipment to fabricate, repair, maintain and install metal items equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures etc

– Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with appropriate codes, law, working practices and health and safety

– Clean and maintain all equipment and tools and maintain a clean working area

– Carry out planned tasks in accordance with direction given

– Carry out tasks to meet applicable safety standards, targets, criteria and deadlines and to maximize productivity and profitability

– Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organization and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager

– Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole

– Contribute towards the efficient running of the team

– Ensure compliance with health and safety and all related legal/statutory regulations, policies and procedures, codes, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations and insert as applicable

-From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.
