Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Underground Utility Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of underground utility construction and estimation processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects and work directly with the owner of the company and project managers.

Responsibilities:

*Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of underground utility work required.

Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for accurate estimation.

*Prepare detailed cost estimates for underground utility projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.

*Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive bids.

*Utilize industry-standard software and tools to perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.

*Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to underground utility construction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in underground utility estimation, with a strong understanding of construction principles and techniques. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. Proficiency in estimation software such as Bluebeam, HCSS, or similar programs. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to underground utility construction.
